Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories

Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes...

I just don't remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it's irresponsible.

'A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

"It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment." '

Michelle Evans has been constantly repairing damage inside and outside her home in Fiddlers Hamlet, in Epping, Essex.

Llandudno - Arriva double-decker bus strikes a stone wall on St Margaret's Drive just a few months after repairs had been made to the same wall that was hit by an runaway dumper last June.

Looking at street view, the driver must have mounted the pavement, perhaps to avoid an oncoming vehicle (it's a straight road).

spare a thought this morning for all the Banwells up and down the land and not least those further along the A371

this, unusually, is the village pubbie : “We have had our pub sign hit, the lamp hit off." He added: “They literally just crash into the building.” He said: “We can’t open in the day because there’s too many lorries and cars on the pavements, so people are too afraid to use the pavement.”

“It’s ridiculous we have got an A road going through a small village.

“I don’t know another village that’s as bad as this. We get abuse from the drivers.”

A car flipped onto its roof on the A470 near Llanrwst in a single vehicle incident shortly after 5pm on Thursday (see photo).

Also on Thursday there were 3 crashes on the M54 near Telford. A car overturned, leading to a 4-mile tailback. This was after two separate collisions within minutes of each other between junctions 6 and 7.

Telford, 9.20 am on Tuesday: "The fire service had to cut a person free from a van after it crashed into a garden wall." [article]

Police, ambulance and fire fighters were called out at 3am this morning (Saturday) in Shifnal. "Vehicle had hit a tree and rolled onto roof. No persons trapped." [article]

Special one for road.cc staff - car wedged on side outside the Francis Hotel in Bath.

Apparently the car "left the road" mysteriously and somehow got itself stuck. Luckily a "young adult male" was able to be rescued...

Clearly an "accessibility" issue - if they'd have made the stairs wider the car would no doubt have freed itself...
