My Specialized Source Comp Disc came with 48/34T FSA Omega chainrings. They are sadly now fairly worn and I was looking at replacing them.

I was thinking of sticking with the current gear ratios - seem to work for me. I am often towing a baby and/or carrying lots of stuff. The existing chain rings were fine but I don't mind getting something slightly fancier either if the upgrade is worth it. My problem is that I can't find a compatible 48t chain ring (110mm BCD), even from FSA. I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong places or if technology has just moved on.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

No point in paying for 'fancy' more expensive rings.  There will be no performance improvement and longevity will only come from steel, but I doubt you could find them.  How many years/mileage did the first set last.  If its a fair chunk of time/distance, replace like with like or cheap and replace a little more often

Have a look at Middleburn, BETD do them.  Sheer class.

Thanks for the suggestions! SJS even seem to have reasonable shipping costs.
