The Cyclotour du Leman takes cyclists on a beautiful route around Lake Geneva (Lac Leman locally) that winds through vineyards and apple orchards against a backdrop of a shimmering lake and towering mountains.
Whilst not to be underestimated it is an ideal introduction to alpine sportives due to its lower altitude and choice routes. In our experience with a little preparation and fitness the 180km distance is very much achievable and dare we say it enjoyable!
The 180km tour around Lac Leman is relatively flat, a rarity amongst Swiss sportives! It makes for a great challenge for a group of riders with mixed abilities and can be combined with some local Col climbing if you're preparing for a big challenge such as the Etape.
