Ekoi has introduced Pro Gel Memory bib shorts with seatpads of different densities for different rider weights.
If you’ve not heard of Ekoi, it’s a French internet retailer with a massive European presence. www.ekoi.com It offers fully customisable clothing, helmets, goggles and shoes through its online configurators.

The idea is that you can customise the Pro Gel Memory bib shorts with the pad that’s suitable for your weight. One pad is designed for riders who weigh less than 70kg, the next is for riders weighing 71-77kg, and the third is for those who are heavier than that. Heavier riders get a higher density of gel.

The Italian pads feature micro-perforations to improve breathability and ventilation channels. The memory gel that’s inserted in the pads is designed to adapt to your anatomy and ensure a comfortable ride.
The shorts look high quality, made from various different types of Lycra with a mesh upper and 6cm elasticated leg cuffs.

The new bibs shorts are offered on the www.ekoi.com website at £118.96 although we notice that they’re reduced by 20% to £95.15 right now.
All Ekoi products are sent in 8-10 working days from its warehouse in Saint-Raphael de Frejus, France and can only be bought from www.ekoi.com.

Ekoi came visiting a couple of weeks ago to show off its latest wares. Look out for reviews of some of its most interesting products on road.cc soon.

Funny how the middle weight
Funny how the middle weight range for the chamois is so narrow, while the two other extremes are basically infinite. They may be on to something here but I wonder what the real benefit of varying gel densities vs. rider weight is.
