SE bikes have a long heritage in the BMX market with design classics such as the PK Ripper but they’re fairly new in the 700c fixed market, prototyping in 2007 and rolling out the range in 08. For 09 the beer-inspired range has three flavours: Draft, Lager and Premium. We suspect the £429 Lager will be the big seller in the main fixed markets, with its brash graphics and solid spec. For your cash you get a Cromoly frame and fork, Formula/Alex wheels with a flip-flop hub, FSA running gear and Tektro stoppers. All in weight is a claimed 21.5lb, so it’s light enough to chuck about town without fear of it falling apart – all the kit is nice and solid. Brick Lane Bikes sell the most (unsurprisingly) but they’re available in independent bike dealers throughout the UK.

@kingleo ...what you need to realise is that the roads in those adverts don't have anybody else on them (not even other cars) so it's only right to deduce that drivers can't possibly collide with anybody) 😉
Richard Madeley channeling the pumpkin Fürer vibe with that tupé, fake tan and foaming at the mouth, dementia induced, self entitled right wing sentiment.
@Terry Hutt and, the problem with that is?
@saw442000 I'm just about to take the dog out for his night time walk and fully expect to see no illegally parked cars, speeding drivers or drivers overtaking parked cars into the path of oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, my expectations will be dashed - again.
Not a pedestrian killing, but Helen Measures killed experienced cyclist Denisa Perinova. Got away with it too.
@Clem Fandango And speeding, phone use while driving, drug driving, driving without insurance, MOT and/or licence...all pretty much unchallenged unless you are in an incident when doing them in which case you might sometimes get condign punishment (unless you hit a cyclist of course).
@wtjs There’s a huge luxury SUV near me, VED expired in December 2020. Despite a local reporting it more times than he cares to remember. He’s spoken to the police who weren’t remotely interested. It’s still driving around on the roads.
@lio Is it coz I is black? (if you are old enough to remember that particular Madeley incident?)
"(I also think there is a lot of bad driving where 1 point should be a suitable penalty; but we seem to never issue less than 3 (so WTF have a 12 point system)."
@qwerty360 I've been suggesting the 1 point system for years. The new AI cameras can pick up thousands of incidents in very short periods so this would really work against repeat offenders. I suspect that what we really need is complete review of the law (which we were of course promised in 2014).
