Chris Lawless of Team Ineos has won the Tour de Yorkshire following a thrilling fourth and final stage of the race, finishing second to defending champion Grenb van Avermaet of CCC in a three-way sprint as the race finished in Leeds.
The third man in that group was Eddie Dunbar, Lawless’s team-mate, who after attacking from 20 kilometres from the end of the 176-km stage from Halifax seemed at one point to be heading himself to overall victory in what was a pulsating afternoon’s racing.
More to follow.
