A woman taking tea at the iconic Bettys Café Tea Rooms in York knocked on the window to ask a man to move – so she could get a better look at the people participating in the city’s 12th annual World Naked Bike Ride.
People taking part in the ride, now held in more than 100 cities worldwide and which acts as a protest against car and fossil fuel dependency while also highlighting the fragility of the human body, had stopped to stage a die-in at the city’s St Helen’s Square.
The woman, who was sitting at a window seat with a male companion, gave the man standing outside a thumbs-up when he stepped aside to give her an unrestricted view of proceedings.
The footage was filmed by David Dunning of Minster FM, which has his full video report here.
The remaining legs of the World Naked Bike Ride to be held in the UK this year will take place in Newcastle-Gateshead and Folkestone this Saturday 1 July, in Worthing the following day, in Colchester on 8 July and a week later, on 15 July, in Clacton.

Surely if this was a story
Surely if this was a story about an old man doing this we would be disgusted by the objectification and ogling of the pervert?
Seriously though whilst It is funny – it also shows how well the ride works at getting noticed I do hope they also got the message as to why they were riding so apparently vulnerable.
nah she’s just a lecherous old woman!
