Just in time for the bout of gorgeous spring weather we are all enjoying in the UK right now, we’ve got a myriad of riding glasses in on test. The sunglasses come from various brands including Lazer, Madison, Smith and Tifosi. Plus we’ve got summer riding wear on test from 7Mesh.

Lazer Walter glasses

The Lazer Walter glasses get interchangeable lenses, the pack comes with three in total, a sunglasses lens, a clear and a tinted orange for overcast conditions, all of which get a water-repellant coating. The frame looks to wrap around the face well and there are lens cut-outs near the top of the frame for better ventilation.

Madison Codebreaker glasses

The Madison Codebreaker glasses are a fairly budget pair of glasses, costing just £40. For your money, you get a host of features though; multiple lenses, adjustable now piece, full UVA and UVB protection, a case and huge coverage from the large frame. We like them in pink too, reckon they will suit our Liam….

Tifosi Aethon glasses

Staying in the under £100 category are the Tifosi Aethon glasses, again a pair getting three interchangeable lenses; clear, all condition red and a smoke sunglasses lens. These are just £52, so as The Madison glasses above, these look feature packed for not a lot of cash.

Smith Optics Flywheel

The Flywheel’s from Smith are a ‘sunglasses only’ pair of glasses using the brands Chromapop colour enhancing lens technology. The retro look provides large coverage in a sleek package. Depending on which frame colour you choose, you’ll get a different lens. For example, we have the Matte Crystal frame with a Chromapop Platinium lens but buy the plain black frame and the glasses will be fitted with a Chromapop Contrast Rose Flash lens for overcast conditions

Smith Optics Squad goggles

The Smith Squad mountain bike goggles provide lots of coverage, a wide view range and come with two lenses included too. Our pair has a red mirrored lens and a clear one too – perfect for UL riding we reckon!
