They say two wrongs don’t make a right, but in this video we can see that if you’re both in the wrong the least you can do is both jovially admit it, pick yourselves up and go about your business.
We’ve no idea who the rider and pedestrian are in this clip, but we think you’ll agree the pedestrian deserves a medal for being surprisingly pleasant about being knocked on his arse, and at least an 8/10 for his rolling fall.
For the record, road.cc does not condone riding the wrong way unless you’re going to be a lot more careful than this bloke was.
Oh, and yes, we know it's a bit old, but it still made us smile.

Cyclist is in the wrong. Pedestrian in this case is a victim. But I would urge people to look both ways even if they aren’t expecting anything to be there.

Um, wow. When you said one-way street I was imaging some kind of little side-street that’s too narrow for more than one car to pass. The kind of place I’d roll my eyes at a wrong-way cyclist, but essentially consider it harmless. The kind of place I’d always look two ways before crossing the road, because I expect salmoning cyclists. And joggers, and wheelchairs and anything that’s actually allowed to use the street two-way.
This is a whole ‘nother ball game. Wrong way cycling down a THREE LANE road. The guy is an arse. But if he’s going to be an arse he needs to be extra alert and shouldn’t have hit the pedestrian.
Although I will admit to more partiality on the side of the pedestrian anyway, because jaywalking laws are a hideous travesty: a mark of lost civilisation where using your feet is frowned upon.

Who cares if the pedestrian wasn’t “using the crosswalk” (well, maybe they do in the US where they have those daft ‘jaywalking’ laws, but I believe those were, ironically enough, in the context of this video, introduced at the behest of the car industry to shift blame for accidents off of drivers)

It constantly amazes me, while cycling in Soho, London, how many peds just walk along in the middle of the roads, oblivious to their surroundings, then are really surprised when you pass them. I often wonder how they got to the age they are with any road sense at all
