If you ever doubted that cycling was the new golf, doubt no more: holiday company F12 Retreats is offering four-night breaks at Murcia's La Manga club – a favourite for cyclists and golfers alike – that combines both activities in one package.

The breaks start at £945 per person and include two guided rides around Murcia and two rounds of golf on championship level courses. The price includes 'dynamic, inspiring training with F12's Steve Halsall'; we're assuming that's cycling training rather than golf training. Transfers to and from Murcia airport, breakfast and lunch each day, spa and hydrotherapy access and 'assisted recovery sessions' are all thrown in too. You don't even need to travel with your bike or clubs; you can hire them once you're out there.

We've been out on Fitness 12 retreats before on road.cc and can confirm that La Manga's a great place to give your fitness a boost in the sun, and the facilities and quality of accommodation is excellent. We can't comment personally on the quality of the golf courses, although we're told by our golfing friends who have tried them that they're very good indeed…

There's no date set as yet for the cycling/golf break, but if you're interested then drop the chaps at F12 a line at info@fitness12retreats.com and they'll keep you in the loop.
