This survey and competition is now closed – we really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to complete the survey. A winner will now be randomly selected and contacted to arrange delivery of their prize.
Your opinion counts! We want to get to know you even better, so we can make road.cc even better. That means it’s time for the 2026 road.cc Reader Survey, and a fantastic prize draw that will see one of you win a Boardman SLR 8.9 road bike.
We’re very lucky to have a thriving community of readers here at road.cc, who are happy to tell us what they like/dislike about the website in the comments section and on our forum every day. We’re also aware that some of you are happier to observe from a distance though, which if course is fine… but we’re hoping our deal sweetener provided by the good folks at Halfords will tempt you to tell us how you really feel!
That’s right, a UK or ROI-based road.cc reader* is going to win themselves a brand new Boardman road bike just by completing our survey. The SLR 8.9 is priced at £1,400 at Halfords, complete with a carbon frame, hydraulic disc brakes, and Shimano Tiagra shifting. It’s a lot of bike for the money, and it’s certainly a lot of bike in exchange for completing a short survey.

The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. You’ll find questions about the bikes and kit you ride, some about road.cc, even an AI-related question. There’s also a couple of questions on behalf of Halfords, which is only fair since they’re supplying such a fab prize.
We’re looking forward to receiving all of your responses, and don’t be shy! We’re very much fans of constructive criticism here at road.cc, and often make tweaks to the site based on our readers’ suggestions.
> ICYMI, here’s the link to the survey again. Good luck!
* The prize draw is only open to those based in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland and you must complete the survey before Tuesday 9th June to be entered into the prize draw.

I didn’t see any AI-related question – do you only get that if you’re in the lower age bands, on the basis us old fogies won’t understand what it is?
You didn’t see them because Agents are designed that way…
If you want input from the rest of the world (and why wouldn’t you?) you could add a consolation prize for non-UK readers that is cheap to ship. A Wahoo Roam 3 would be an excellent choice. If you can’t swing that, a nice book about cycling would entice us.
If, and that’s a really big if, I win the bike can I donate it? I’m in the US.
@Geoff H Of course you can, if you win just get in touch and I’ll let you know my address…
“This form was created inside of Farrelly Atkinson Ltd.”
The mind boggles.

Be warned. After I entered this competition I got bombarded by SPAM texts. Either you at road.cc or the company you’re using are selling this information to unscrupulous people or it’s being hacked

@trevorx How is entering this competition responsible for you being bombarded with spam texts when there’s nowhere on the entry form that asks for your mobile number? I fear you may be attributing blame to the wrong source here.
Actually, now they mention it, I’ve had hardly any spam on my phone recently, where I was getting loads of it before – maybe it’s transferred all mine to trevorx.
@Rendel Harris I apologise if that’s the case. This is the only one I remember entering recently. Maybe it is @mdavidford after all ….
