Quietly nestled away on Sram’s stand at the Cycle Show over the weekend, a brand new prototype of the 2018 Definition from prestigious British bike designers Mason Cycles made its first public appearance.
As founder Dom Mason explains, although the Definition is an all-season bike potential customers were demanding a sportier geometry for performance riding, which the new frame delivers with a shortened rear-centre for a more responsive feel. It’s also now gone thru-axle and flat mount, for which Mason worked with their Italian bike builders to design the dropouts and disc mounts from scratch so as to not compromise the ride.
Mason offer five different build options of the Definition, with the new version expected to be ready to buy before the end of 2017 – visit Mason’s website for more info.
