Canyon release limited edition pink Giro d'Italia replica Ultimate CF SLX bike

Canyon produce 21 pink bikes to celebrate Nairo Quintana's Giro d'Italia victory

Remember the pink bike Nairo Quintana rode on the final stage of the Giro d'Italia? Well now you can buy the same bike - Canyon have just released the Ultimate CF SLX IL GIRO, an exact replica costing €8,999 with only 21 bikes available. Additionally, each bike will include a Nairo Quintana  signed Maglia Rosa jersey.

The Ultimate CF SLX IL GIRO features a pink frame complete with pink bar tape, Fizik saddle, Bora Ultra wheel decals and Continental tyres. And like the Movistar replica that we're currently riding, the frame will be built with the same Campagnolo Super Record EPS groupset and a weight well below the UCI's 6.8kg weight limit. The team replica that we've go in boring old black has a slightly more restrained price too - £6869.60.

Just 21 bikes will be available, because there that's how many stages there are in the Grand Tour. Each bike will commemorate an individual stage with the stage name and date inscribed across the top tube, meaning each bike will be unique. It also means you need to be quick if there's a particular stage name you would prefer on yours.

You can take a closer look and order yours now, if you're up for some pink Canyon action (not really sure about that phrase - ed), at https://www.canyon.com/_en/specials/ultimate-cf-giro/

All gone. That's a shame it would have looked way cool on the wall. 35

Crikey, they've sold quick- 3 left. I wonder how many will be ridden, and how many will just be for show. One thing's for sure- you know how there's cries of "who can afford this sh*t?!" whenever something pricey gets reviewed? Well clearly, there are people willing to drop this kind of cash at short notice...

That is super cool. Too pricey by a long shot however.

To be fair for what you are getting ( effectively a custom made pro bike in a very limited number ) it's a steal

The cassette is INSIDE the frame; I don't quite know what I am looking at (?) This is a queer beastie; I like it. It would finally be an excuse to get that Cipollini muscle skinsuit replica.

I wouldn't snigger either at anyone riding that machine, in my book, you would only need to prove yourself if you had the full rosa strip on as well!

You'd better be able to kick ass to ride that, or risk being a laughing stock!
