According to reports on local radio this morning, the Tour Series criterium is likely to return to Peterborough for a round next season.
Two dates are being considered in June 2010 for the event which, according to organisers SweetSpot, raised over £300,000 for the city's economy and brought 8,500 spectators onto the streets on a Thursday evening.
If successful in their negotiations, Peterborough council will be using the run up to the event to promote cycling and get more businesses involved in the event.
More events will be happening on the day involving local cyclists and the wider community.
Fingers crossed that the council can conclude the deal and we can start looking forward to more top cycling action on local streets.
