Forestal has launched the first bike in its lineup and it’s a 29″ wheeled, long travel enduro e-bike. It features an all new suspension design, a super lightweight proprietary drive system, and a fully integrated touch screen display. Forestal aims to bring unmatched agility and versatility to the e-bike world. If you like your bikes filled with cool tech, read on.

Built with it’s Alpha Box monocoque carbon fiber frame, the Siryon uses a completely new suspension design that the brands claims to have been designed with absolutely no outside influence. Dubbed ‘Twin Levity’ it’s made of a single pivot with additional linkages to enhance its performance.

The suspension design is altered throughout the size range to keep the frame and linkage working together to keep weight distribution the same across the range. This also keeps the ride characteristics similar.

Providing the pedal assistance is the brands proprietary drive system. Forestal has pushed to design a fully integrated system that gives a super smooth power delivery while remaining lightweight.

Keeping the motor running is the brands own 350 Wh Aurora battery. It uses the latest battery cells that don’t suffer from the memory effect found with traditional batteries. It doesn’t need cycling either, in order to keep the battery going for longer. Forestal says that it only takes an hour and 24 minutes to get the battery charged.

A super smart bit of kit this bike comes with is it’s integrated display. As expected, it can display the motor’s power mode but it can also offer complete navigation guidance and fun facts, such as your g-force or accumulative air time. It’s also a touch screen, so it’s easy to scroll through the menus on the fly.

There’s also a downloadable app to keep both your bike and phone synched for all of that statistic goodness.

As for the kit bolted to the bike, it comes with a DVO Onyx Coil with 170mm of travel and a DVO Jade Coil providing just as much travel at the rear. Brakes are from Magura in the form of the MT7s and there’s a Crankbrothers Highline dropper with 125mm drop on the S frame, 150mm on the M and L, then 175mm on the XL.

The Siryon is equipped with a SRAM GX drivetrain and the Crankbrothers Synthesis E Carbon rims are shod with rubber from Panaracer.

The geometry looks pretty sorted too with a 488mm reach on a L, a 64 degree head angle and 446mm chainstay, on a L.

The Forestal Siryon is available now and it’ll set you back 7,500 euro (around £6,900). It comes in four sizes, from S to XL and it’s only available in the one colour pictured.
