Fasst Company has launched a new handlebar system that uses a combination of pivots and elastomers that’s claimed to keep things that bit comfier and ease upper body pain over the roughest terrain.

Fasst Company says that the Flexx handlebars are direct under steering loads and forgiving under the load path of the suspension. So it’ll isolate your upper body from the usual abuse and vibrations on rough sections of trail without sacrificing cornering performance.

Coming in two options, the Flexx Enduro and the Flexx DH. Both are made from ethically produced UD carbon fibre with 7075 aluminium for the pivot points and titanium for the pivot pins.

The heart of the Flexx handlebar is those, very noticeable, pivot points. Inside those pivots are elastomers to deal with the abuse and provide compression, and rebound.

The elastomers are tuneable too, they can be swapped out for stiffer or squishier included elastomers to suit your riding style. In the pack is a soft, medium, hard, and firm option.

The Flexx Enduro bar measures in at 800m wide with a 31.8mm clamp diameter and a 25mm rise. Because of the pivot trick, there’s 5mm of travel at the ends of the bar but that’s wholly dictated by its length. Trim it down and the travel is reduced. As for back sweep, there’s a choice between 8° and 12°

The Flexx DH is the burlier model for those who suffer upper body pain during long uplift days or those who want to smooth out rocky and rooty trails. The DH model is 810mm wide and also comes with 5mm of travel with 25mm of rise. Alhough, it only comes with 8° of back sweep.

Both bars are claimed to weigh 440g.

The difference between the DH and the Enduro model is that the DH is specifically sized for direct mount stems and dual crown forks with a wider clamp spacing.
