Photographer Dan Milner has been to some of the furthest flung corners of the world, seeking out new adventures. Whether it’s North Korea, Afghanistan or somewhere a little less exotic, he’s totally reliant on his bike, so this is an interesting look at how he’s built his new Yeti SB5.

While some people bang on that that there’s no point taking a lightweight carbon fibre frame and plenty of suspension out into the back of beyond, Dan is firmly not in that camp, instead choosing the comfort and minimal mass of this 127mm rear travel, 650b wheeled, all-carbon superbike.

As well as a stock SB5 frame, he’s got Fox Factory shocks with a 160mm 36 up front, Mavic XA Pro aluminium wheels, WTB rubber and a single-ring Shimano drivetrain.
