It’s that time of the week again where we gear up for the weekend by showing off the cool kit that’s come into the office before being sent out for testing. This week, we’ve got Specialized’s new full face helmet, Endura’s fresh gravel kit, and the first ever mountain bike-specific first aid kit from Sendhit. That’s just scratching the surface so strap in, here’s what’s in store.

New from MET is the Veleno MIPS. It’s designed to be super versatile thanks to a removable visor, meaning that it’s ideal for trail, XC, and gravel riding. It’s built with a full polycarbonate wrap, 26 vents, and MIPS-C2. It’s then claimed to weigh in at 355g.

Specialized Gambit

£295

Sticking with helmets for a bit but upping the protection factor, we’ve got Specialized’s brand new Gambit. As you can see, it’s a full face helmet that’s designed for enduro but it’s certified up to DH certification.

Its shell is made of a combination of carbon fibre and polycarbonate, and it uses five pieces of energy absorbing EPS foam. It gets a fixed visor, Spesh’s SBC fit system and MIPS SL.

Sendhit First Aid Kit

£25

We carry everything we need to repair our bikes when we’re out on a ride but often, we don’t carry everything we need to mend ourselves. That’s where Sendhit has stepped in and has released the first ever mountain bike specific First Aid Kit.

It comes with a handful of useful medical supplies and advice to help you deal with most of the injuries that you’re most likely to come across while out on your bike. It’s impressively small too, measuring in at 16 x 11 x 3cm and weighing just 100g. The packed it reusable too.

Endura GV500 clothing

£80 – £150

Back in September Endura released the GV500 line of gravel-specific clothing and we were hot to get our requests in. Here on test, we’ve got the Insulated Jacket, Waterproof Trouser, Foyle Shorts, and the Waterproof Jacket.

With the GV500 range, Endura has employed its 25 years of bikewear know-how to create a range that’s primed to take on the harshest of the UK’s conditions. The range is designed to work as a complete system offering tonnes of storage combined with useful weather protection.

7Mesh Farside Shorts and Desperado Jersey

£70 – £100

Last but absolutely not least, we’ve got a bit of kit in from 7Mesh in the form of the Farside Shorts and Desperado Jersey. The former is a surface adaptable summer short built for all-road riding and gets enough pockets to keep your valuables safe.

The latter gets a polyester and merino blend build and is also designed to be worn whether you’re riding gravel or trails. It’s also said that it’ll keep fresh over multi-day adventures.
