Apologies again for the ‘wheelie good’ header, we just couldn’t help ourselves! We’ve got an expensive enduro bike and some very reasonably priced wheels alongside a couple of other cool products including the gravel bike upgrade you’ve been waiting for, dig in!

Mondraker Foxy Carbon RR SL

While we do our best to focus on the more affordable end of the mountain bike spectrum, it’s always good to sample something a little more rarified – that’s how Jon justified it to us anyway! This is the new Mondraker Foxy Carbon RR SL and it’s the range-topping, do-it-all trail full susser in the Spanish brand’s line up – all £7,700 of it – check out the full First Look here.

Birzman Pump Up

Witha 1.2L cannister and the ability to be pumped up to 22 PSI, the Birzman Pump Up is ready to seat your tubeless tyres. There is no pump included, though it is compatible with most track pumps. A simple set up, just pump up the cannister, flick the release switch and flood your tyre with air at a fast rate. It costs nigh on £50 so in line with competitor items.

Go to Fulcrum’s website and under the Red Fire 5 wheelset you’ll find a lot of noise about exactly what ‘enduro’ is before finding out anything about these hoops. Ploughing on, we find out we’ve got a 27.5″ only aluminium boost wheelset weighing 1,905g with 28 spokes front and rear. The rims are 32mm in external diameter and 27mm internally, Fulcrum say they are ‘shorter and wider resulting in a stable, secure and fast support base.’

Halo Vortex Wheelset

We took a quick look at the new Halo Vortex wheels when they were released. They are another enduro offering, measuring a pretty wide 33mm internal diameter and weigh 2140g with the brands own 120 point pick up MT Supadrive and MT Front hubs, with sealed bearings and super wide spaced flanges for increased stiffness and durability.

Brand X 100mm Ascend Dropper Post

One for the cyclocross and gravel riders out there, we’ve got a skinny 27.2 diameter dropper post from Brand  X, the Ascend. This one is the 105mm version but it also comes with an 84mm drop. It comes with top of the bar mounted lever, is internally routed with the cable actuated at the bottom of the post in the seat tube. At only £140, it could be the gravel upgrade you’ve been dreaming of.
