Marco Joubert teamed up with Tristan Nortje for the grueling 2025 Cape Epic. Joubert and Nortje, known for their “never give up” tenacity and skill on challenging terrain, are familiar faces at the prestigious event. Representing Imbuko ChemChamp, a team deeply rooted in South African cycling, the duo aimed to significantly impact the race.

The 2025 edition saw Joubert and Nortje tackle the demanding stages with characteristic grit and donning the red African Jersey. Their teamwork and strategic approach were evident as they navigated the diverse landscapes of South Africa’s Western Cape. While the competition was fierce, Joubert and Nortje consistently took the fight to the GC favorites.

Their dedication saw them achieve a podium position in third on the general classification, contributing to Imbuko’s overall presence in the competitive field. The partnership between Joubert and Nortje showcased the growing depth of talent within South African mountain biking, further underscored by their one-two podium at the recent national gravel championships in Karkloof, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
