Britain's premier domestic track event, the Revolution Series, has attracted worldwide attention in the unlikely - in every sense of the word - shape of Robert Förstemann's thunderous thighs.
Pictures taken on Saturday in Manchester of Sian Welby, who presents the highlights programme airing tonight on ITV4 at 8pm, measuring the German sprinter's impressive muscles were picked up by media outlets in Britain and elsewhere and were soon being shared by fans on Facebook and Twitter.

It's perhaps worth remembering that Förstemann was actually called up to Germany's squad for last summer's Olympics as, of all things, a mountain biker.
He didn't actually start the cross-country race, his naming for the event allowing Germany to in effect have an additional sprinter in their track squad due to Olympic rules that allow a rider to transfer from another discipline. Förstemann came away from London with a bronze medal in the team sprint.
Also getting attention for quite different reasons was the Rapha skinsuit being sported by Olympic gold medallist Peter Kennaugh of Team Sky - the first time that fans have had an opportunity to see the kit the British ProTeam will be sporting throughout 2013 up close.

Tonight's highlights will also be made available to watch on ITV Player, but if you want to know the results of another thrilling evening's racing now, you can find a report here.

First few commentators on this need to pick themselves up out of the gutter.
Watched it last night and was very impressed (not just by how hot Sian is). But bear with the novice questions;
Cheers
The teams are just amalgamations of riders for the purposes of competing. A few teams are created for the event (FACE, Rudy Project) and a few are british road teams (Rapha, Raleigh, Sky). Riders who aren't linked to the teams compete for them on a one off basis.
I'm pretty sure that's why nobody's shorts match their jerseys...
Great to see cycling on telly outside the big world/Olympic championships and the Tour. Another step towards the mainstream. I thought the program was reasonably slick - things like the music and graphics were a bit low-rent but that's ITV4 for you. Great performances by Kennaugh (how on earth is that pronounced) and Clancy in particular.
And yes, Sian's quite pretty but she's also a decent presenter which is far more important if cycling on TV is to be taken seriously.
PK's name's pronounced Kenn-yuck

Hey Sian, if you wish to measure another set, just let me know!
