Best deep drop caliper brakes?

What are the best deep drop caliper brakes? Shimano R650?

I read that the Tektro ones are good, but that the hardware is prone to corrosion when used on winter roads.

Thanks everyone. I've gone for the Shimano R650s, in the hope that the extra shinyness will equate to winter salt resistance.

Hope that the Campagnolo levers won't notice that they're pulling Shimano brakes. Actually, I've read that this is a good combination, since you can open both the levers and calipers, which helps getting fatter tyres in and out.

Happy with the Shimano BR-450s on my Racelight, very good braking with 105 levers and aztec pads. The standard pads are bit wooden but ok until they wear out. The 650s are the same brake caliper but more shiny.

sjscycles do a fine selection of deep drop brakes, ive got a set of tektro on my 'winter' bike.. work well but are prone to a bit of rust etc as the bolts are bog standard steel i spose, but for 30 squid thats what you get.

Oh yeah, sorry, i was just looking at deep brakes for myself and then clicked on "related" items and got side tracked by the TRP's

Cant go wrong with most things Shimano apart from some of their prices

Thanks but those are standard drop calipers (39 - 49 mm), not deep drop (47 - 57 mm).

The best on a budget? The best money can buy?

I like the look of TRP R970SL's in black and gold, but they are £400

Other than that the BR-6600 or 6700 are decent budget ones
