With the news that British cyclist Peter Kennaugh could miss the Tour de France thanks to an injured collar bone, the folks at Cycle Surgery and our good selves here at road.cc are offering a prize for your most inspirational post-crash story.
If you've come here with your pitchforks out to tell us that we're crazy to be romanticising crashes, can we ask you to stow them away safely?
We're all about inclusiveness and safe cycling here at road.cc and we wouldn't wish a crash on anyone. Not Peter Kennaugh, not any of us here, and certainly not any of you.
But accidents happen. Hell even those of us who choose not to wear helmets sometimes get frightened into them - like me:
There's only so much, short of not actually cycling, that you can do to stop yourself having an accident.
And we're not asking you to parade round the goriest photos you've got; we want to hear the whole story.
So, share the photos of your accidents with us, your broken bikes, your injuries, and your recoveries. Tell us how you recovered, how long it took you, and what it felt like getting back in the saddle.
Let's give our Olympic champion Peter Kennaugh a bit of morale support. All is not lost!
All you've got to do to get involved is fire up an internet-connected device of your choice, upload a photo to Instagram or Twitter, and include the #CycleSurgery and #mycyclingweekend hashtags in the caption.
Let us just remind you that it's VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER TO INCLUDE BOTH THE #CYCLESURGERY AND #MYCYCLINGWEEKEND HASHTAGS IN YOUR POST!
You won't win otherwise.
Before we forget, here's your prize in Tour de France yellow:
Now that we've got all that moral high ground stuff out of the way, here's what we all know you really came for: the gruesome photos of injuries...
Get well soon Pete!
These are a few photos that were shared in the comments of the facebook post that we put up the last time we asked this question. Have you got stories to trump these?
First up is Greg O'Ffuch's knee following an incident with a spoke - we're not certain that is actually his name...
Mark Reed was next:
El Seba sent us this:
And finally Instagram user, and frequent #mycyclingweekend participant had only a helmet between him and this list of heavily injured cyclists.
Here's the aftermath:

Nice!
Perfect viewing as I get ready to head out and test Live Segments. Nothing like imagery of gore and destruction to motivate on a downhill segment!
Get well soon guys!
Spinning discs of death are coming for you!
