Over the last few months we’ve organised track days, rideouts, taken part in Revolve24 at Brands Hatch, and we have more in the pipeline. You don’t have to be a member to take part in all these events, and if you’d like to join us in October we have two rideouts planned, supported by Decathlon and Hargroves Cycles.
The first takes place on Sunday 18 October in Hampshire, setting off from the lovely cathedral city of Winchester. It’s being led by our regular tester Mike Stead, who’s local to the area (despite his NZ roots!) and he promises a ‘cracking’ route. It’s 56km, with 750m of climbing, and includes one of the best cafes Mike’s ever stopped at. Tech support and refreshments are also being provided by Hargroves Cycles, and it’s FREE!
If Winchester is too far south, perhaps our Sheffield rideout, on Sunday 25 October, will appeal. road.cc founder Dave Atkinson will be riding this one, among others, and it’s supported by Decathlon – who will also be providing goodie bags for anyone taking part. Again, it’s free and we’d love you to join us.
To register your place on the Winchester ride, click here; for the Sheffield ride, click here – and if you fancy riding both, you’re very welcome, just register for both!
These are just a couple of the events we’re planning for team road.cc members, so if you fancy joining the club – it’s £14.95 a year, for which you’ll receive socks and stickers worth £10.99, £20 off a road.cc classic argyle jersey and 10% off everything in the road.cc shop, plus you'll get a membership card entitling you to discounts at various cafes and shops throughout the country – have a look here.
I think the Spider-Man meme is relevant to a great many of the news stories we have on this column. Head over to favourite funny for more cartoons.
