It's predominantly made out of flexible plastic, stiffer around its base. The flexible surrounding plastic means it can bend to fit most people.
The universal armband is fairly easy to figure out adjust with a hook and loop fastener. It can be removed and fitted with one hand, although this took a bit of practice.
It's made with weather resistant materials and this particular model has a claim of being UV-resistant for three years. It should last a long time and not become warped or brittle whatever the weather throws at it.
The unit base fully rotates and once the camera is on, it can pivot too, so you can get it exactly where you want it to be before you start shooting. Putting the camera on is a simple task too. It is a small hand turned screw, so no tools are needed to set it, meaning it can be done quickly.
You can attach the mount to just about anything. It will attach to person or object making it extremely versatile no matter what it is you want to record. It will also stay in position securely and firmly, making it very reliable.
With regard to value for money it's £23.78 and can be bought cheaper. It offers a solid place to secure your camera safely and will last at least three years, making it pretty decent value.

Last at least 3 years .... WTF
This type of kit should last forever as long as you don't physically damage it
#ThrowAwaySocietyStinks
I'd hope it's more an estimate of how long it's likely to be before inevitable knocks and bumps do physically damage it. If it's really going fall apart by itself in three years, that would suck.
