Manchester to Liverpool bike ride
This great ride is now in its ninth year, and we've added a fantastic 55 mile all on-road route for all those riders who are seeking a challenge. The mostly traffic-free 40 mile route is ideal for family cycling and takes you along part of the Manchester Ship Canal towards Liverpool and the Mersey while the longer, all on-road 55 mile route, crosses the canal to Culcheth and Rainford before passing through Knowsley Park Estate to meet the riders on the short route and heading for the finish at Otterspool Park, on the banks of the Mersey.
Start Venue: Salford Watersports Centre, Salford Quays, M50 3SQ
Start time: 8 – 10am
Distance: 40 or 55 miles
