I did go Fuglsang today which might be my point of difference.  Hopefully he will be useful tomorrow.

It seems lots of us went Yates, so in the end it probably didn’t matter.  Turfing our Matthews, Bettiol and Pidcock was not something I will regret.

    Jumbo apparently had 4 though

Jumbo apparently had 4 cases though.

Hard to justify staying in at that point.

    You are not alone.

    You are not alone.

I also put Yates in this morning.

Only used 3 transfers so far.

Only used 3 transfers so far.  Hoping that will pay later.

Exactly the opposite strategy I tried with the CdD which didn’t work out well.

    Missed the Simmons boat though.

    Your both doing better than

Your both doing better than me.  Every move I have made hasn’t worked.

In a GT you can work your way around your mistakes, in the week long races it feels harder as I feel every transfer needs to be a good one.

    Good decision. We had
Good decision. We had identical teams today. I nearly dropped Ciccone, but wasn’t sure. So often doing nothing is the right course of action. On this occasion that worked out

    Anybody get the Almeida new

Anybody get the Almeida news in time?  Might mess up a few transfer strategies if people are tight for the final few stages.

I would have had different sprinters if I had known.

Bouwman is still my pick of the Giro, I did say we would see more of him in this Giro.

    Expected a breakaway win.

Expected a breakaway win.  Made a last minute change to my planned transfers and didn’t go for Yates as planned.  Chose Hindley instead which was a slightly better choice.

Could have had both and not brought in Mollema though.

I think we will see more of

I think we will see more of Bouwman this Giro.

With no credible GC contenders, it has to be about stages and maybe the mountain jersey will come along too.

    Bowman has been the high

Bouwman has been the high point of my Giro.

Completely messed up last weekend when away on a cycling trip. Was devastated to find I hadn’t picked Girmay on Stage 1 when I was convinced I had. Bonus is that I have a few more transfers at this stage of a Grand Tour than I sometimes do.

The undercard for GC must surely attack that last climb.

Or they just wait for the summit finish tomorrow.

Uphill TT, not so Dennis friendly?

    I have even less idea.

    I have even less idea.

So I did precisely nothing!  No transfers for me today!
