Yeah, I had Hayter down as a possible DNS, but fortunately kept him.
I think he was wise to take his time after a crash. No GC ambitions, the jersey gone, and taking a bit of time to understand how your body is makes a lot of sense.
Whatever the deadline 10 mins before start, an hour before start or two hours before start, it is a level playing field for all.
Occasionally for races where you see the neutralised start, you can tell who is keen to be in the break, they are right up the front, and more obviously those that won’t go for it (sitting at the back of the peloton). I suspect though that is a more theoretical problem than a significant one,

Yep, brought him in for th GC points yesterday and today!
I feel your pain. I had read a comment saying he had taken a bidon at 19km somewhere, but with nothing appearing on the normal sources I kind of assumed it was deemed OK.

I am against moving times after race start. You do get breakaways at km 0 sometimes.
Also, although I have been leaving tranafers later than before, many of us at work have to take a punt when we have the opportunity to do so.

Do you get points for
Do you get points for compassion? Not many in the thick of the race have are perceptive enough to do the ‘right thing’ for a competitor. Always thought Bardet was a honorable guy… today he added to that for me.

The budget will be easier if Pogacar withdraws, though it would be a shame for sporting reasons and on compassionate grounds.Sniffer

I think it might be another WVA or not question. This time the budget matters.
Transfers not a problem for me. Whatever I do I will have 8 or more left for the last race.

I agree. Nobody knows, but I don’t see him riding unless he has ambitions.
Put him in, he is the type of rider that does amazing things.

Changed my mind a dozen times on WVA.It was a lot simpler when we thought he wasn’t going to ride.

Me too. And the now departed Bling, but at least I got something in the first 2 stages.
Now, if only Ethan Vernon can win a sprint tomorrow.

I have been the complete opposite, terrible in P-N and might have won T-A if my chosed sprinters had done slightly better on Sunday. Still third isn’t bad.
I am always impressed with those that can turn out a good result in every week long stage races.

I doubt the game will allow a neutralised Standard game and an updated Purist game.
The zeros are probably here to stay.

I would have had the winner,
I would have had the winner, Ewan and GC points from Ganna and Evenepoel.
As you say, swings and roundabouts.
