In all seriousness though, how can this happen? Bloody lucky it went through his leg and not another part of his body containing vital organs.

I’ve never found a mini-pump that really does the job for anything more than just getting home / to safety – and even then only after a lot of hard work! I, too, carry a CO2 inflator – quick, easy, lightweight, does the job. Go for the 16g cartridges if you decide.

Peace in our time. Sounds like this spat is finally over. Torm have announced a sale to clear their current stock, and they’ve revealed revised design details. Looks mighty fine to me =D>

‘Rapha slightly miffed by Torm’ doesn’t do it either. No one sends a ‘cease-and-desist’ letter on a friendly basis or without first considering the final consequences for both sides. If it gets to court and Rapha lose this they’ll also lose a big chunk of their ‘kudos’ (I was going to write credibility, but I’ve never seen the words ‘Rapha’ and ‘credibility’ used in the same sentence before). I guess they must be pretty confident that they’re on the right track, but I hope they’re wrong.

You have managed it, but it appears no one has heard from you since. Was it that exhausting? I must admit that I too thought Kindles were only about reading, didn’t know they had a web browser too :B

It’s clear to everyone that,
It’s clear to everyone that, at the very least, Torm’s collection is heavily ‘inspired’ by the success of Rapha. I honestly don’t think Torm’s intention was to deliberately ‘pass off’ their goods as those of Rapha – they are not ‘Rapha knock-offs’. The styling details both product share could have been patented by Rapha, but I’m not sure that they are – and the lack of statements from Rapha would seem to indicate that indeed they aren’t. Perhaps, in hindsight, Torm will now feel they didn’t need to produce items that so closely resembled those of Rapha. With a bit of creativity they could (and hopefully soon will) produce ‘classic’ styled pieces with a few details that become unique to Torm themselves. After that even Rapha won’t be able to touch them. For now this appears to be a newly established market leader trying pull rank on a younger upstart. I hope they don’t succeed, but I do hope that Torm learn a lesson from it.

I’d love to see it finally tested in court. Then we will only have their prices to complain about.

I crashed my bike and had the LBS replace a bent crank. Only after several months did I realise they’d replaced a 170 with a 172.5. I hadn’t noticed a difference – which perhaps says more about me than it does about differences between crank lengths :S
