Shitaroo that is sweeet! Blimey that’s sexy. Are you going to race it? Might stick out a bit if it’s just for sportives and the club run! 😀

Blimey. Comparing to the official shots on http://www.pinarello.com/eng/dogma2_carbon_616.php (click ‘other colours, then 616 POS Blu’ to see the colour scheme), I can see that the downtube cable looks like being externally routed on wheelz’ frame, the ‘Pina’ graphic on the front of the seat tube is a different colour, but honestly, if your LBS was stocking these, at a favourable price, you think they wouldn’t be snapped up?!

The UCI sticker also looks different/omitted, but I just found some identical (in terms of the above discrepancies) to Wheelz’ frame on a Chinese site, and the UCI-approved sticker is indeed present.

Especially now that cycling is gaining so much in popularity, watch out for ‘complete new Pinarello Dogma 2 – unridden – just £2000’ on eBay.

In the end, the fact that
In the end, the fact that Speedplay are used by some top riders means that the wattage they will withstand is way above what I (and presumably you) can exert, so engineering-wise they aren’t an issue. So the key point for me is how the pressure is distributed across the sole of the shoe (and hence the foot) so as to avoid hot spots etc. Given that the cleat secures the pedal, the size of the cleat seems to be relevant, and SP cleats are large.

I’ve set Strava to crop a 500 yard radius round my house, but can’t help noticing that my house is bang in the middle of the omitted circle. It’s like painting a cross-hair! It would be handy if the circle randomised it’s position slightly.

So, on another thread Dave Atkinson was flirting Pro-Lite Bracciano’s at us all 😀 which got me (and probably the OP) drooling. However, in a shootout with the Fulcrum Racing 3’s linked to by Mikeh789 above, does anyone have any opinions on a winner?

    My understanding of the
My understanding of the Speedplay approach is that the contact area is apparently larger because the platform which takes all the force isn’t the pedal, it’s the cleat, and the cleat is larger than other systems.

I can say that the Speedplay zero chromoly is very good. I have dodgy knees but Speedplay don’t aggravate them at all.
