The problem came about
The problem came about because all through last year, people complained about stage deadlines not being close to the start of the race, so this year we moved them as close as could be, to give everyone a decent time to get a team in.If they had been left as we did in the large tours last year, there would have been no issue. But we pandered to people like yourself. So it happened to be a problem again this year.
From now on, how about we don’t take feedback from the users on board and just do our own thing?

I think Enrique is right
I think Enrique is right though, you want it “properly addressed”It has been, Dave has stated there was a mistake and also that no points will be docked.
So what is it you want done?

It varies between organizers.
It varies between organizers. Some provide proper food at the finish, some don’t provide anything, some provide something at a cost.Feed stations also vary, some have free cake and drink top ups, energy bars…etc. Some don’t have feed stations and you have to bring anything you need with you and some provide things at a cost.
Which sportive are you looking at?

Wig_Billy wrote:My position. This is a competitive game and I try to do as well as possible in it. I always compare the deadline times with the race start times because I know from experience that mistakes happen. I do this to give myself an advantage and I’m unapologetic about that. There is no rule that all transfers have to be made before a race starts, so to call it cheating is ridiculous.
When I started playing this game it was just for fun, but these days I play to win. Unfortunately it seems this attitude is incompatible with the forum, so I think it’s probably time to say goodbye.
I enjoyed my time here. Farewell road.cc forum. :H
I have pretty much come to the same conclusion. I’m sick of bitching and moaning about this, that and the other.
I don’t get paid to run the game (nor have I ever asking to be paid), I do it because I used to enjoy it and thought I was helping for the greater good of others. Lately it is just taking up time that I could be doing better things with and its the same people day in day out moaning about something.
I now have a business to run, so my time is money. I can ill afford to be sat on here doing rosters, sorting stages, points, finding startlists. Checking them every day before a race to make sure they are as correct as I can make them.
Emailing, tweeting and phoning race organisers to see if I can get information about races….etc

It takes about 3 seconds to click on the name and see if they cheated. At the end of the season, let’s just say Wig_Billy or Gilbert and Sullivan wins a big prize instead of someone else by a handful of points…they are 2nd and 8th at the moment.
Gilbert & Sullivan didn’t make any Gent changes, you are seeing their Volta changes after the Gent deadline…..Volta had a 13:00 deadline….

I am not playing for prizes
I am not playing for prizes anyway. I simply changed my purist team, stuck in those breakaways to see how it would sum up if someone actually managed to pick a few breakers like that.I did it to see how scores compared, because I want to see more points for breakaways in one day races. So that was a perfect test platform.
You can moan and whine all you want, I can’t win anything, because I help run the game. I made it quite clear what I did in this thread
