I had some fun with my teams – quite a few differences, whereas normally I keep std and purist very similar. So very unlikely that both will do well. Was tempted to check the break and make a late change, but decided that wasn’t really cricket.

    Std
    Sagan
    Degenkolb
    Greipel
    Demare
    Coquard
    Parrinello
    Van Asbroeck
    Van Baarle

Purist (experimental to say the least)

    Degenkolb
    Bozic
    Boonen
    Keukeleire
    Drucker
    Vanmarcke
    Vanspeybrouck

Because right now we know the
Because right now we know the breakaway BEFORE the deadline!!

    Incidentally…..

This year’s race is officially called Gent-Wevelgem, in Flanders Fields because the race follows a unique route through the area that was the setting of the First World War 100 years ago.
The race organiser Flanders Classics says it “wants to contribute to a fitting commemoration of the Great War and keep the memory of the conflict alive with future generations. As a tribute to the heroes and 600,000 people who fell in the Westhoek region.”

    Has the clocks going forward
Has the clocks going forward thrown out the transfer deadlines? eg this one says deadline is 11:25 UK time, but the race starts at 11:25 Belgian time. Just didn’t want people to be able to make transfers once the race has started. Might be wrong, I’m not great on time differences, its all a bit confusing for me…

    Maybe from http://www.gent-wevelgem.be/en/elite-men/history/in-flanders-fields

The race follows a unique route through the area that was the setting of the First World War 100 years ago. This is why the subtitle ‘In Flanders Fields’ is now added to the classic’s name.

    Where is the “in Flanders
Where is the “in Flanders Fields” coming from, apart from that abomination of PCS #o ~X(

Here is the official guide….don’t go changing the name http://gw.pro.p.assets.flandersclassics.be/files/1062/original/FC13_GW%20WEDSTRIJDBOEKJE_TECHNICAL_MEN.PDF?1362865813
