Are you ok building it up
Are you ok building it up yourself?

For £1200, it would be quite easy to get a self build into your spec.

But if you are not ok with building from scratch, stick to the Pro 6 at £1400 or go second hand.

If you want more advice about self building, get in touch, I could throw something together within your budget and spec info@b-kam-cycling.co.uk

    giobox, he’s there with
giobox, he’s there with Cookson’s son…I know he’s part of Team Sky and has been for a long time. From what I’ve heard, Cookson’s son is undergoing the same schedule as both the Henao’s and is being tested along side them for the differences in values.

It is all being reported back to the UCI through Sky, yes, Sky took the decision to do it all, but it is also helping the UCI with their stuff.

[edit] Just seen the news story, it basically tells you what is happening – some of the other info I’ve heard from inside the team :H

The way I see it, Henao is
The way I see it, Henao is doing this for the benefit of cycling, not just Sky.

He is being monitored by the UCI while taking on different tests at both sea level and altitude to see how his levels compare to “normal” people. I think (not 100%) on this, that they have a test subject, also being tested, that was not born at altitude, so their system for doing things is different.

I don’t think it has much to do with him failing any tests or doing any doping. It shows that the UCI are being pro-active.

I don’t know if he was picked on purpose or just had more inconsistent levels as can be expected from someone born and raised at altitude.

    The only thing Dombrowski has
The only thing Dombrowski has been in this year was the Coppi e Bartali

Sky kinda dominated it, but it was only a four stage plus a TTT race.

    Swift won stage 1
    Sky won the TTT
    Kennaugh won stage 2
Swift was 2nd in stage 3
    Cataldo won the ITT

Kennaugh took overall and Swift took the points

But then again, the only other pro level teams were Lampre and Cannondale.

ARGH….I just tried to make this simple ~X(

I am not privy to IP addresses or stats for the site, It would be nice if Dave or Tony made up some sort of graph to so where the users/page views come from. It would then make my poll unnecessary 😉

    Reading through that, I would
Reading through that, I would say something from Kinesis would be right up your street.

The ATR is £1500 just for the frame…you need to think about wheels and a groupset after that to keep you in budget and under weight.

So wheels might be Kinesis Crosslight CXDisc £300
    Ultegra 6800 still at £500 http://www.probikekit.co.uk/cycling-groupsets/shimano-ultegra-6800-11-speed-compact-groupset-grey/10836472.html
Carbon seat post from Kinesis £75

Then you just need bars and saddle….oh and pedals.

OR you could get a full build for £2350, but you can’t have as much control over custom spec.

Another Kinesis bike that might fit your spec would be the Pro 6, at £1400.

I’m quite happy for err on
I’m quite happy for err on the side of slightly above for the Tours, gives everyone, even without much knowledge a chance.

I’d like to see tighter budgets for smaller tours, gives those with knowledge a little head start and makes it much more interesting, rather than everyone picking the same few GC riders and then hoping to pick some break/high finishers.

    As has happened this season
As has happened this season already, it is boring if you give to much budget and everyone picks just certain riders. I would have had it at 130, forcing people to only have a maximum of 3 top value riders

I go on what the game itself
I go on what the game itself says is a reasonable budget, the game said 132, so I made it 130…

Its based on the riders who are listed.

The startlist will be updated later tonight.

Feel lucky, you have 15 more
Feel lucky, you have 15 more to the budget than I had it set at.

I had it at 130, Dave’s bumped it up….disappointed it, I wanted it to actually be a challenge because the game is getting far to easy
