I used to have TdG alot a few years ago and made some good points off him, sadly, he only gets away now and again, rarely when there is something to race for, like today.

On another point. I think I should start publishing my purist list in advance, to show which riders to avoid, that’s me down to 5 already..

    Well, this is handy….

    Well, this is handy….

On Wednesday 7 October, the 60th edition of De Brabantse Pijl is on the programme.  Given the current health situation in Belgium, we as organisation call on you to follow the race at home. It was therefore decided not to release any information about the course.

Can’t even study the course to pick riders

Crap, might have just lost my first rider from the purist team. Lopez getting caught out by the shit roads that the riders have been complaining about.

I like the way Zabel did the KoM on a road bike and then changed, not concerned with getting the TT win. I wonder if others might get it a bash to get the jersey

Dowsett didn’t mess up, he had a puncture.

Look at Dennis though, he got a cruel bit of wind, couldn’t even get on the skis because he was fighting to keep the bike straight.

Well they released a provisional start list yesterday and many rosters weren’t confirmed until today. Do you check PCS for a final confirmed start list? You know some races aren’t confirmed until the last moment right?

I hope I know this…Considering I’m not only a fantasy manager, but I also work in pro cycling, including being a DS, that is why I had to give up scoring and managing the game here.

I’m maybe just a bit out of touch, but before, provisional weren’t really used, final start lists are normally available through the official race streams for media people. If you are sticking to PCS for startlists and results, that isn’t great, do you have the backdoor link into the UCI results that I used to share with other scorers every season??

    Getting totally hammered with

Getting totally hammered with transfers here, 1, there are too many races lumped into one comp and 2, startlists being updated and then totally changed the next day is costing a lot. Just cost me 4 transfers since late last night.

I think he’ll be fine, His

I think he’ll be fine, His team are going to get him through, although if Sagan gets some more points, he might pull out when green isn’t going to be his.

I think it’s more likely that the government close the race down. 10000 new infections a day and the prime minister saying today that there is a “clear worsening in France” and while he didn’t implement a full lockdown, he gave areas more control, they can even dictate business hours that shops can be open.

They are calling it a “second wave” the problem is, it never went away in France and now with their biggest figures since the pandemic began, it’s daft to continue racing through the country. Especially with teams hiding ill staff who are being sent away before testing, plus only testing on rest days to avoid any team being sent home for two positives (riders and staff) within 7 days…

You did alright, he came 5th

You did alright, he came 5th on the stage and takes 2nd in the youth jersey.

In other news, with France still considering a full lockdown because of rising cases, with Alaphilippe in yellow now, will that speed up their decision….I’ve spoken to friends who are staff members on a couple of teams, none of them expects it to get past the first rest day.

It’s been a few years since I was doing the fantasy scores, but any rider who has a DNS/DNF didn’t get bonus points for a teammate winning. I’ve just got 5 for Buchmann, but he, Schillinger and Muhlberger all DNF today, so shouldn’t be getting bonus points??

Groenewegen DQ, Jakobsen in hospital in an induced coma, Sarreau out with a broken collarbone. So the top 3 from today’s stage won’t start tomorrow IF the race continues.
