If this is what Ferrari did
If this is what Ferrari did say, don’t worry about it, just the Phinney one 😉http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/11802/Roberto-Ferrari-defiant-after-causing-Giro-sprint-crash.aspx
I also agree with him, there was room to go past. Also at that speed, would any of you be looking behind?
You take your chance and go for it.

I think Phinney is ok, just a bit sore. So he could well be ready for the TTT on Wednesday, handy for him to have the rest day tomorrow. So he might hold onto Pink for a few days moreTaylor Phinney @taylorphinney
I went down, but I am NOT OUT. Couldn’t feel my foot there for a couple minutes…but nothing is broken… I live to fight another day.Gkam84

Thanks, i’ve set it to record aswell 😉Gkam84
The way i saw it, He went for
The way i saw it, He went for a gap that was there. Cav does that all the time, you don’t see him looking behind and worrying what happens. Also, I agree with Debarrio, Cav needs to keep his trap (fingers) shut about it all, incase you haven’t seen it, here are Cav’s tweets
Mark Cavendish @MarkCavendish
Ouch! Crashing at 75kph isn’t nice! Nor is seeing Roberto Ferrari’s manoeuvre. Should be ashamed to take out Pink, Red & World Champ jerseysMark Cavendish @MarkCavendish
Apparently Roberto Ferrari has said to journalists, when asked about the incident, that he can’t see what happens behind him & doesn’t care.Mark Cavendish @MarkCavendish
Is the team of Roberto Ferrari or the UCI going to do the right thing? Other riders, including myself, have been sent home for much less.Gkam84

obutterwick wrote:Brilliant. Ferrari now last man home. Does that mean he scores points instead of Phinney?Ferrari wont be last even because of his demotion because he just gets put to the back of the group he finished in. Phinney will be last because he was last over the line but will keep GC because it was in the last 3km

It might work out ok for me,
It might work out ok for me, because i have the problems with transfers, i didn’t make any yesterday as it was blocked, I did email Dave the transfers i would like, but it might block me again, so i don’t know if he can change them, so my team as it stands isMarzio Bruseghin (MOV)
Mark Cavendish (SKY)
Geraint Thomas (SKY)
Romain Feillu (VCD)
Domenico Pozzovivo (COG)
Alex Rasmussen (GRM)
Stef Clement (RAB)
Arnaud Demare (FDJ)
Taylor Phinney (BMC)If they transfers go through, i’ll lose Feillu’s points :”( But at least i have Thomas, Rasmussen, Demare and Phinney all scoring 😀

From what was shown, it was only an ambulance. But i think if he’s being listed as crossing the line, that was him with his bike and then he got in the ambulanceGkam84

Riders shall be strictly forbidden to deviate from the lane they selected when launching into the sprint and, in so doing, endangering others.Thats all fine and well, but i would have said Ferrari launched his sprint in the movement to go round Farrar, not sooner
Anyways, he’s been dropped to last home in the bunch

Rather than everyone’s love
Rather than everyone’s love of Cav clouding their judgement 😉I’m being impartial, Cav moans like hell about everyone else, but then does everything he moans about. I may not be his biggest fan, but i’m looking at this as i would any incident. I don’t think Ferrari is in the wrong, he moved to give himself a chance of winning because he had move speed. If Cav had moved slight to his right, there was plenty of room, Cav didn’t even try that.
Maybe there wasn’t time, it would have been a split second choice. But Ferrari was ahead and in a sprint, your entitled to go for the line you would and i think his move was fair and not a dangerous one, Just because it caused a crash, doesn’t make it dangerous, Cav could have moved
