What comments? Bodycam captures drug-driver barely able to speak during arrest
Officers received reports of a car being driven erratically and found Jack Brownless, 39, stopped at a nearby crossroads.
Brownless had swerved across the A39 and hit a wall before concerned members of the public called police.

2′ 20″ of police stop footage
2′ 20″ of police stop footage here, and no the actual flip isn’t caught on camera. The police car is only ever 15″ behind the fleeing Mini, so I’m not sure what opportunity this scumbag had to do this:
“It was then that he tried to pull his female passenger onto the driver’s seat to make out she had been the one behind the wheel. The court was told that the red welt across his chest was consistent with the mark left by a seat belt on a driver rather than a passenger.”
he sounds very practised

£3m Radnor Park roundabout revamp in Folkestone with new cycle lanes branded ‘downright dangerous’
Residents say the new town-centre layout is “confusing” and “ridiculous”
“We weren’t travelling fast but it was dark and raining hard. It’s very hard to see.”
John Scale Modeller added: “The cycle curb is going to cause a few bumpers on a few cars an issue. I’ve seen two cars mount it coming around the roundabout already.”
Rita Betteridge said:” That silly little kerb bit by the station is downright dangerous.”
And Deborah Jones added: “Zebra crossing is far too close to the roundabout junction (accident waiting to happen).”

Unless they’re all in it together and monetising the resulting (annoying compulsive) viewing.Hardly lucrative though, but is not the same as watching the motor racing?
The filmed product, as with all “look what this idiot did” sequences get repetitive in no time at all, sucker as FB clearly thinks I am for them.

No drivers directly involved
No drivers directly involved here, sorry, but for fuck’s sake, men, do get a grip. As such you are part of the most privileged group anywhere (not least forking out £240/ month for a David Lloyd couple’s membership). So many arguments have been previously won on your behalf – before you even started out – arguments women are still having to spend energy on.
GET THIS – it is highly unlikely that anyone is going to ogle you, bother you in the spa or if you have a drink afterwards, and you don’t have to clench your keys as you walk out out your car. You don’t have to think about waiting around for a friend to go with.
You’re asked to make one small concession – but even that is too much for you.

Money to swamp, technically? With you on the sentiment though – how many wade to the bank with a rueful grin and “god, I’ve been a right prat there! Hope my family won’t mind when I explain that the reason we’re a few grand short every month is because I’ve no common sense”David9694 wrote:These people must have money to burn.
Their bank not their insurance company? I presume driving into a flood is classed as Avoidable and an insurer won’t pay out?
Is the fact that the car is very likely on finance a factor? If it’s a write-off, the finance company will still want paying; I wonder if finance somehow makes it all a bit easy-come-easy-go for people? It would have the opposite effect on me – e.g. the monthly pain of having to complete the payments for a ‘phone I dropped in water a few years ago.

I guess now we’ve had a bunch
I guess now we’ve had a bunch of rain, Facebook reels is serving me up a load of car drives through ford clips. Some appear to make it, others not so much.
I don’t understand these drivers – this is going to be a loss of £000s or even £0000s and all the inconvenience.

Who will foot the bill to provide a zebra crossing in Starcross?
Not sure of the pracalities of this, but the system needs to default to “safe” and inclusive, so like with the Wales 20 mph baseline, the admin and spending comes if you want faster.

Calls for more safety
Calls for more safety measures at ‘dangerous’ A251/A252 roundabout in Challock after girl, 17, injured in crash
Talin Briggs, from Challock, had alighted a bus near The Stag pub on Tuesday, November 25, and was heading home from sixth form when she heard tyres screech. A Land Rover had crashed with a lorry and then careened into her, knocking her to the floor and dragging her for about a metre.
“I was just walking up the road, and I heard a noise, so I turned around, and the Land Rover was coming for me.
“So, I try to run, but I still get hit, and I get dragged up with it.

30 mph stretch, no account of any police action – the shitty, dangerous world bus passengers live in.
For the bonus, check out the pub in the back of the picture; says the landlord, “We have seen a few accidents since we have been here.” Have you? have you really??

I suppose he means the lack
I suppose he means the lack of a driveway is something, along with the steps issue, the council could magically resolve for him. I’m pleased to hear that people have called him out for his self-centred post. There does seem to be, as he says, a lane inboard of the road that looks like it goes through to the next car-fest junction.
The parking restriction allows permit holders to park nights and Sundays – didn’t it used to go fairly quiet after 6.30 pm, or am I misremembering that?
I think we’re here, at the eastern end of Barrett Road before it turns into Martineau Lane – https://maps.app.goo.gl/XwxeT5jg1N34bf1G9
At least hes he’s added to my little canon of pavement parking driver sayings:
I’d love to have a disabled friendly world/ I don’t work for the councilFine I’ll block a lane then
where am I supposed to leave it you tell me
go around
nobody minds/ it’s not in anyone’s way
I’ve always parked here
