https://www.whatcar.com/news/the-most-stolen-cars-in-the-uk/n21162
Just the first article that came up on Google. Of the three Range Rover variants listed (they’re all the same to me) it comes to around 4,000 reported stolen.
The article doesn’t separately list variants of the other cars and importantly there’s only vague references to how numerous each one is.
This one is better showing that Land Rovers are stolen at twice the rate Fiestas are. How sad, never mind.
Why So Many Land Rover Range Rovers?
The Land Rover Range Rover witnessed a significant (47%) surge in theft reports to the police from 2021 to 2022, a trend that extended into the initial months of 2023.
Such an uptick in theft incidents has posed challenges for Range Rover owners, especially in the London region, when it comes to insuring their cars. Skyrocketing insurance premiums and a dwindling number of firms willing to offer coverage are among the primary concerns. The dilemma with Range Rovers isn’t so much about their security measures but the huge demand both domestically and internationally. Thieves are aware of the lucrative market for these vehicles, making them invest in the required technology to steal them.

Calls for talks to stop £100 car park fines for ‘crossing road to use toilet’
Many drivers have fallen foul of the new strict parking regulations which were introduced at the St Ann Way retail park last year
Councillor Pam Tracey (C, Westgate) says her inbox is being filled with emails from people who have been given a parking charge notice. She says the problems with the charge notices there and other parking woes are the talk of Gloucester.
“It’s diabolical,” she said. “It’s one email after another. There’s loads of people being hit.
“They are fining people who park there in the evenings now too. As far as I’m concerned the Peel Centre never did their homework before they introduced these rules.”
I rather think they did, Cllr Tracey and it doesn’t sound like they want it be told their business by you. If it’s the talk of Gloucester, then presumably it’s only out of towners now being hit? How many of them are writing to you?
