Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

one car a week impaled on the Canterbury bollards:

Canterbury’s anti-terror bollards spring 79 cars in 16 months since they were installed

“The town is already congested enough without people queuing up the road to get through the bollards.” Or ‘the town is too busy to regulate the traffic.’

Having a look at the OS map

Having a look at the OS map of Dover to better understand its traffic problems, I note that not only is there a Maison Dieu Road (in the KO article) but they also have a Louis Bleriot memorial. Why don’t they go the whole hog and declare themselves, Pimlico style, to be an exclave of France?

On the other hand, vis Brexit, they do have a local landmark called the ‘Grand Shaft’.

    Twitter followers will know

Twitter followers will know of the “clown” incident with Adam Bronkhorst and Cllr Vinson, Dover’s Portfolio Holder for Finance, Governance, Digital and Climate Change this week.

Anyway, the council leader is getting excitable now because Dover is “sacrificed” at times like this. Sometimes, the comments column gets it right: Dover voted for Brexit.

You can get electricity keys from newsagents – they should work fine

I did notice that the article

I did notice that the article also minimised that someone else was injured, just “not badly”.

I was intending to go up Whiteladies Road last night and got to that point, and they were diverting all uphill traffic left and into that maze of single lane residential roads (because of all the cars parked either side) that I usually avoid.

I wondered what had happened: there were police and fire vehicles there and a huddled crowd of student-aged people being talked to by a policeman.

I do wonder how it jumped that sofa, though…

Didn’t you read the title? It was flying!

I for one welcome our new flying car overlords
