I always think the sheeps
I always think the sheeps/cows are looking at me and wondering why that silly human doesn’t just use his feet! Particularly on hill climbs.

not sure if a Camera would help, but I have been using a garmin Virb since then. I’ve been happy with the footage so far, might look at a fly6 too!
No experience here (crashed because of a driver pulling out yes, but didn’t take it further), but I do hope you’re successful in your claim. Good luck!i had a driver turn accross me, whilst I was in a cycle lane. Killed my bike I was ok ish. Went through British cyclings insurance. Even though they had admitted to me it was there fault, the insurance company said as it was 50/50 (god knows how) and as I didn’t have any independent witnesses, that they wouldn’t pursue it.
I hope you have a speedy recovery and have better luck than I.

Had mine for over two years, use it almost every day, run it in daylight to. Never had an issue with it. I do run a clip on mudguard from October to march which keeps the worst off I suppose.

Cheers for that, my problem is that I really do like my Boardman, I might just treat myself to the cube attain sl disc for long winter rides.
Then in slow time slowly rebuild the Boardman as a general purpose/commuter/adventure bike. I have a spare rear wheel to wear out yet!

i appreciate that, but the Boardman CX and I have a long history. My first one had all sorts of problems, in the first few months I went through a couple of BBs and crank sets. And a free hub. After 6 months is was stolen from our “secure” bike locker. I bought another, in the next 7 months I went through 4 free hubs, several BBs front mech (upgraded now to Rival) and a front shifter I finally got the thing running really well and then a car turned accross the cycle lane I was in and I hit the car which killed the bike as the frame was bent. I bought another Boardman cx, (had lots of spare parts) all the same problems again the free hub was crocked straight away almost, I have been through a few, halfords apparently put an upgraded one on, it’s on it’s way out again, but out of warranty. If I were to keep it now it would be new wheels as an upgrade, new brakes trp spyre as the bb5s are ok but not great, plus the Bb/chainset I would also like an 11 speed groupset really as going up porlock hill on a 34/28 at 95kg is hard work a 34/32 would be a bit nicer when gradients really ramp up. I use this bike a lot so between the above issues and the new cycle2work scheme opening up at our place shortly I think it’s time for a change.

I have set most of my k.o.m’s
I have set most of my k.o.m’s on my board man CX with either 32 or 28’s on (slick) a lot whilst carrying a rucksack. True I tend to ride these roads on my commute and not on a Sunday but have always felt that the bigger tyres absorbed the vibrations etc from the crappy road surfaces allowing me to go faster for longer rather than bouncing around feeling fast but not going fast on skinny tyres. But I have set the bike up aggressively for speed so the aero ish effect helps too.
Choice of tyre. Duranos heavy but bombproof 3 years thousands of miles not one puncture.

How old/worn are they? I always get a creak when I wear out the plastic bit that says shimano. Easy enough to source and replace.

I agree it’s a very personal
I agree it’s a very personal issue and to be fair I don’t think looking at them really helps, you can’t really tell until you have spent some time in the saddle. I know some Fizik dealers who let you use the yellow trial saddles and will probably end up going down that route.
