I have used a patch before, just make sure you properly clean the area and you can save the tyre. As to noodles, it depends on the size of the hole, I always carry two sizes one quite thin, one thick one. If it is blowing out possibly it’s a big hole and needs a bigger noodle or a second one. Top tip have them pre loaded in the tool, that way it’s a mega quick process if you need it on a ride.
I had a similar issue, but now I never go past 80 psi on my 25s, (im 90kg) these are on my hunt wide carbons and 70psi on my 28s. Rides great and no issues. Stick with them, they can be a little frustrating at first while you learn to live with them. After that though they are great.
Bloody hell and I thought tubes were apparently great and trumped tubeless for this reason. I pump up my commuter once a week use it Monday to Friday and lose about 15psi do max on my tubeless sector 28s.Still cant see me going back to inner tubes.

What, tubes lose 5-10psi a week and your tubeless lose 15psi and you are selling it as a plus point for tubeless? I don’t get your logic.

well I pump them up to a max of 80psi and have riden them at 40psi so it makes no difference.
If you are pumping up your tyres once a week does the fact i’ve lost an extra 5psi make any difference?
used to run them at 60 but normally in 75/70 now.
3 years of running tubeless, once on my very first puncture I put a tube in. Didn’t really know what I was doing. I commute every day including extended commutes always through Southampton every day past all the student accom and broken glass this is one either pro ones or sector 28s
Have used noddles a few times even in a sidewall cut that got me home and lasted the week commuting.
Sorry i seem seem to have started a tube v tubeless debate. But my valves are fine and I’ve not really had any isssues.
There that should fix it.

How about something non carbon like a Cannondale Cad 12 disc. Never ridden one but the consensus is that its a great frameset. Wheels look a bit basic but they are usually at the top of the list for upgrades.I have 2 good quality carbon bikes and a higher end aluminium and i can detect very little difference in ride quality but the aluminium bike is a tad heavier. Also having had a bike with disc brakes ,105, for me,i can’t see the need for them. If you’re commuting every day in winter then maybe they have an advantage but for recreational rides i don’t see the advantage for the extra cost.
i can second the non carbon option, I have the Cannondale optimo disc 105 with a set of hunt disc wheels brilliant ride with 28 tubeless. Keeps up on the club runs great commuter and winter hack. Comfy as hell too and I’ve set many pbs on strava on the thing too, including some KOMs.

The placebo effect may come in to play though. Mindset that expensive bike is faster, so you ride a little harder. Buy the bike that excites you the most!

cheers for the replies, i quite like the look of the bryton aero 60, and may grab that, but my edge 1000 is still working at the moment, it broke last year and garmin wanted 200 quid to fix, I found someone who fixed it for £60 quid! now I updated my virb and immediatly after the update it stopped working, Garmin refuse to accept blame and after making me try several memory cards including buying a new one, recommend buying a new battery or sending it to them for 90 quid to fix.
Ive had Etrex’s, Forerunners, Various Edge units and a set of Vector 2’s, it’s nice how they treat loyal customers. My Fly 12 and 6 arrive tomorrow and I have just replaced a set of sensors with Wahoo sensors(they work faultlessly and not had them drop out once)

Ryanair’s Micheal O’Leary arrives in a hotel in Dublin, he goes to the bar and asks for a pint of draught Guinness.
The barman nodded and said, “That will be one Euro please, Mr. O’Leary.” Somewhat taken aback, O’Leary replied, “That’s very cheap,” and handed over his money.
“Well, we try to stay ahead of the competition”, said the barman. “And we are serving free pints every Wednesday evening from 6 until 8. We have the cheapest beer in Ireland”
“That is remarkable value” Michael comments. “I see you don’t seem to have a glass, so you’ll probably need one of ours. That will be 3 euro please.
O’Leary scowled, but paid up. He took his drink and walked towards a seat.
“Ah, you want to sit down?” said the barman. “That’ll be an extra 2 euro. – You could have pre-book the seat, and it would have only cost you a Euro.”
“I think you may to be too big for the seat sir, can I ask you to sit in this frame please”
Michael attempts to sit down but the frame is too small and when he can’t squeeze in he complains “Nobody would fit in that little frame”.
“I’m afraid if you can’t fit in the frame you’ll have to pay an extra surcharge of €4.00 for your seat sir”.
O’Leary swore to himself, but paid up. “I see that you have brought your laptop with you” added the barman. “And since that wasn’t pre-booked either, that will be another 3 euro.”
O’Leary was so annoyed that he walked back to the bar, slammed his drink on the counter, and yelled, “This is ridiculous, I want to speak to the manager”.
“Ah, I see you want to use the counter,” says the barman, “that will be 2 euro please.” O’Leary’s face was red with rage.

I should have said I’m currently on a cyclops fluid 2 with power meter at the moment. Just started playing on Zwift as injured and trying to make rehab fun. I will probably end up buying a DD at some point.
Another vote for the Planet X
Another vote for the Planet X. My hands suffer a bit as I have broken fingers a few too many times. On days when my garmin has been down to -6.5 they have been toasty with a thin pair of inners I already had. 99.9% they are fine on their own.

I have 2 sets, dura disc which I have used almost everyday for a year as a commuter and winter rides. Freehub died but they replaced it. Carbon 50mm are lovely but haven’t used as extensively. I weigh 90kg and always carry a rucksack when commuting. For what it’s worth I can’t fault them.
