Pro ones it is. Cannot get the damn things to seat now. Been to the garage (flat tyre setting) gone through several co2 canisters even resorted to duct taping the tyres to rims almost twice but no bloody joy.

    Another vote for Hunt 90kgs

Another vote for Hunt 90kgs so went with the 4 season dura disc. The difference is night and day compared to the stock wheels that came on my Boardman cx. £248 great value, shod them in a set of 28c tubeless too.

Just bought a set of hunt

Just bought a set of hunt disc with tubeless schwlbes fitted. My old wheels were a bit heavier than yours but it feels like a new bike for 350 quid with a weight limit of 115kg I doubt you will get a better bigger bang for your buck.  Gone for 28c tyres lovely!

    I’ve ditched my saddle bag

I’ve ditched my saddle bag all in rucksack. Mainly as it’s one less thing to take off the bike.

    Cheers for the feedback

Cheers for the feedback everyone. Want the HUnts but a bit skint atm after a fall on ice the other week and few new parts, now if I go Hunt do I get them to fit Tubeless for me.

Not sure about them yet, in 3 sets of duranos i’ve had 2 puntures one from a badly executed bunny hop and one from chatting too much and running over a coke can. Ah if only i had a large pot of money to spend!

    Just start by getting out

Just start by getting out riding first, time in the saddle before will be your friend on the event. As to bike, 14% of the route is unpaved ( if I looked at the right site) cyclocross with a rack is the obvious choice. Have fun!

As above really. Although when in Basic training in the Marines I had a pretty bad break at the base of the 3rd metatarsal after a couple of weeks rest I was in the gym doing whatever I was deemed fit to do by the remedial instructors. Which really backs up the above comment.
