Hi all,

Apologies for the slight disruption as we complete the website migrations of road.cc, off.road.cc and ebiketips. There are still some known issues (and some still unknown no doubt), and we’re working through them as fast as we can.

We’d really appreciate any help from readers or forum users, whether that’s telling us about problems you’re experiencing commenting, or anything you see across any of the sites that’s not as it was before.

Please can we have the edit and quote functions back? Also the ability to add images to posts. Echo what others have said about caching, on most pages if you want to see the up-to-date version (even when visiting on a new device or after a device has been restarted, so it’s definitely a problem at the server end) you have to refresh, which is a pain.

Aside from just *change!* …

Same as others: some articles are showing “log in to comment” when I’m apparently logged in. Logging in there seems to dump you back at some other list of articles.

The “like” feature works, but the pluralisation appears to have gone or is off (“2 like”) mostly.

The “quote” when replying that was on the old version is gone, as is the ability to edit posts after making them it seems.

Don’t recall a delete before but it isn’t here now, that might be nice…

The list of recent posts on articles used to show only the most recent post on an article, but now seems to show multiple posts made on a single article eg. perhaps this is now just the most recent n posts, irrespective of whether they’re on the same one or not.

You do seem to have got the recent increase in squirrel appearances down though, which is appreciated!

FWIW I’m on a Samsung Internet browser on an old Galaxy mobile but I suspect that isn’t the source of the issues, will see if I can try on laptop at some point.

Finally found this, after posting on an older “the site isn’t working” thread.

There is a seemingly endless loop of logging in to post, being returned to the homepage, going back to an article only to find I’m apparently not logged in again. Refreshing the page once I get back there seems to allow me to post.

Totally impossible to log into an article page to post a comment. I have no reason why it worked for me to post this.

i came here to see if anyone was still alive – its been dead for days

NEVER considered F5 or CTRL+F5 once the site had loaded

if you cant fix this yourselves, i’ll get one of my colleagues to debug your **** for you

‘Buyers Guides’ and ‘Features’ panels aren’t displaying properly – the first is crammed over into the left half of the screen with a big empty space to the right, and the reverse for the second.

The ‘Reply’ link on forum comments is essentially pointless, as the resulting comments appear no differently to replies to the original post (no indenting or indication of what it was in reply to, and no ‘Threaded’ option on the sort).

‘Latest Forum Topics’ panel isn’t working right
– ‘Car crashes into building’ isn’t appearing, despite having more recent comments than two threads that are
– This thread, and the ‘Direct Mount Derailleurs?’ one show incorrectly as having no replies.

It’s not even necessarily just ‘the version I last saw’ – I’m occasionally getting versions of pages that are older (fewer comments or blog articles) than the last time I viewed it on the same device. Some deeply excessive caching going on somewhere.

Returns to home page after logging in (rather than returning to the page you were viewing when you clicked Log In).

I visit the site daily (Mac, Safari) and it always shows the site as it was the last time I visited until I refresh the page.
