    Hi all,

Apologies for the slight disruption as we complete the website migrations of road.cc, off.road.cc and ebiketips. There are still some known issues (and some still unknown no doubt), and we’re working through them as fast as we can.

We’d really appreciate any help from readers or forum users, whether that’s telling us about problems you’re experiencing commenting, or anything you see across any of the sites that’s not as it was before.

You can tell us anything you notice here, in the comments underneath articles, or by emailing us at info@road.cc – thanks for your patience and apologies again, getting there!

    Jack

Intermittently getting “Error connecting to Redis” messages when trying to load pages – happening since at least Friday.

There are certain articles that I read, in this instance the newer of the Irish stories, when it gets real adverty, but then when I go back on the homepage it’s like I’m paying for no ads again.

Far too much white space. Gaps between posts too big, each post takes up too much space, massive white blocks left and right.
please roll back, as you are going to get a lot less traffic unless you sort this out.
The basic test of software is usability. The current state of the site is failing this.

Drivers and their problems has mislaid the past four weeks of comments.

Disappointing that any threading (which we broke within weeks anyway) has gone completely. As others have said, the Old/New sort has no effect.

I’d logged on to the RCC site, but I can’t see how to add to Drivers and their problems.

Not sure about the new look and feel, but let’s give that a bit of time.

Constantly being logged out as you move around the site – on iPad in Safari if that makes a difference.

The pinned “Pictures of your bike” thread has disappeared, though I eventually found it… without any likes showing at all :((
You can’t sort by “most liked” any longer.
Forum comment text is weirdly widely spaced and posts are spaced far apart. All looks like 1997

On offroad.cc everything below the line is road.cc branded (e.g. light blue components everywhere).

[Not that I’m complaining – it’s functionally much nicer than the old offroad.cc BTL section, and if it means more integration of comments across the two sites I reckon that’s a good thing. Although a few people will inevitably complain about the purity of their site being contaminated. ;o) ]

Forum comments are no longer included in the Latest Comments carousel.

In fact, forum comment sorting is always newest, because the sort functionality doesn’t work – it just reloads the page.

Forum comment sorting defaults to ‘Newest’, but after adding a comment it sends you to the last page of comments (i.e. the oldest comments), which is a bit odd/confusing.

Reply link on comments disappears once you get to the fourth level of replies (i.e. the original comment plus four other people all replying to each other).
