    Hi all,

Apologies for the slight disruption as we complete the website migrations of road.cc, off.road.cc and ebiketips. There are still some known issues (and some still unknown no doubt), and we’re working through them as fast as we can.

We’d really appreciate any help from readers or forum users, whether that’s telling us about problems you’re experiencing commenting, or anything you see across any of the sites that’s not as it was before.

You can tell us anything you notice here, in the comments underneath articles, or by emailing us at info@road.cc – thanks for your patience and apologies again, getting there!

    Jack

After some digging, looks like the login link should be https://road.cc/roadcc-login and not https://road.cc/login which is linked from the hamburger menu blue “Log In” button (next to the green “Register” and red “Subscribe”).

Either fix the hamburger menu, or change the login URL.

Guys, this is on a doom spiral. Have you lost control?

I’ve moderated forums before. Get me access and I’ll delete the spam for free!

Logged in, posted a comment. Went to post another comment. Was told I needed to be logged in to do that. Tried several times, same result.

Hit the Log Out link. Was asked whether I was sure I wanted to log out. Went back to try to comment again. Same result.

Any prospect of an update on what’s going on with the website migrations? Feels like the community side of things is slowly dying as a result of usability…

    Hey mods,

Considering these forums only have like three posts a day right now, would you consider moderating tbem?

The last three posts on this thread are very obvious spam.

If you let the posts stay up, they’ll notice, and you’ll get a lot more.

And comments don’t seem to appear in the commenty bit.

Why is the forum so horrible? No wonder it’s not being used. Either that or cars are not crashing into buildings.

Struggling to see what has changed a week on.
Can’t edit a post, can’t sort comments by date/time, can’t use basic html tags, no new forum topics.
Revenue must follow user visits which are reduced since the failed migration.
Less users and visits = less revenue= no going concern for the site.

    Why will people re-subscribe ?

Also, after submitting a post I am redirected to the oldest page of the topic, not the most recent one which would make more sense.

I’ve started to see a countdown of free articles available, which could be disabled if I registered and logged in. The problem is, I am logged in, as can be inferred from me writing this post đŸ™‚

I’ve been told that tomorrow has been set earmarked as a fix the forum day – I’m hoping we’ll at least get the ability to post new forum topics and some threading/ability to reply to posts by the end of it.

We do need to update the article we put out about the website migrations too, it’s on the list.

    Thanks all.

Might be as well to put this up as an article (as you sometimes do with other site updates) – given that forum comments are no longer/not currently being surfaced on the main areas of the site, a lot of regulars might miss your post here.
