I’m more concerned this is one of the traffic cops, ie specifically trained police drivers, not your average cop in a car.

But also these are the ones who review & judge dashcam close passes, and being put on administrative non operational duties probably means that’s their main job currently.

At least they took away his gun privileges.

That’s an outrageous avoidance of justice by the police officers involved. It’s notable that the passenger didn’t report it until the next day which would be so that the driver wouldn’t get breathalysed. Both of those officers should be immediately suspended.

What the hell! That is actually mental.. he crashed a BMW X5 into an Audi A1 from behind at 49mph.. got asked ‘what happened there?’ by his fellow passenger police colleague and subsequently drove off while his colleague asked his ‘aren’t you going to stop’ to which he just shrugged his shoulders.. and carried about his day.. not even reporting it when he got back to base.. and then when asked why he didn’t stop claims “I haven’t stopped and reported it because I have no recollection of it happening, and I believe that’s due to the fact that I have had an episode of trans global amnesia.” 

That’s pretty bad behavious from the police.. BUT I’m more concerned about the ‘trans global amnesia’ nonsense.. does that mean anyone can commit a crime and just say they can’t remember it happening and that’ll be that then? … Sorry mi’lud.. I can’t remember driving into anyone, do you have proof that I was behind the wheel at the time, becuase y’know, sometimes I let my family drive the car and I suffered a bout of trans global amnesia y’know…. I mean I know we’ve seen this bollocks excuse in other cases, but surely this loophole needs closing.. how do we get loopholes closed in the law?
