Wide rims are very much on trend right now, and Zipp has pushed things further than most gravel wheels with its Zipp 303 XPLR S Carbon Tubeless Wheelset, which features a 32mm internal rim width. Aside from the benefits of running larger tyres at lower pressures, the other product rationale is aero.
The 303 XPLR S wheels are claimed to weigh 1,642g and are now down to £979 at Merlin Cycles.

To pair with the wide internal rims of the Zipp 303 XPLR S Carbon Tubeless Wheelset, the Schwalbe G-One RS tyre in a 50mm width is available for £36.99 at Tredz.
These tyres are designed for dry, hard-packed surfaces, with Schwalbe claiming they are the fastest gravel tyres for this type of terrain. They were also highly rated by Liam in his best gravel tyres ranking video, where he described them as one of the fastest tyres he’s used in dry conditions.

Released around a year ago, the SRAM Rival XPLR AXS E1 1 x 13s Groupset brings 13-speed gravel gearing to a lower price point, and it’s now down to £1,099.99 at Fawkes Cycles.
The SRAM Rival XPLR groupset adopts the direct-mount design from SRAM Red XPLR groupset, while incorporating the improved ergonomics seen in the 2024 SRAM Red AXS shifters. The updated crankset also delivers a significant weight saving, and the Rival range now benefits from carbon fibre brake levers for the first time.

Muc-Off’s Ludicrous AF Lube is now £19.99, 60% off
Muc-Off’s Ludicrous AF Lube claims to be the “world’s fastest race lube”, while also lasting a long time, and in all weathers.
Unlike some of the fastest chain treatments on the market, the lube isn’t wax-based. Muc-Off provides little detail about the formula itself, other than stating that it is biodegradable, petroleum-free and made from renewable sources.
At an RRP of £49.99 for a 50ml bottle, it’s certainly among the priciest chain lubes on a per-ml basis – but it’s currently available for less than half price at Sigma Sports.
