Prague-based bike brand Repete has introduced two new steel models: the Reason road bike and the Verne gravel bike.
Repete says that two years ago it decided to translate the experience it has gained from making custom steel bikes into the development of these new models. The frames are still made in Prague.
Both frames are made from high-strength Columbus Spirit HSS steel and come with a Columbus Futura carbon fork with a tapered steerer.
"The shaped over-sized tubes, the T47 bottom bracket shell, and the shaped rear stay create the rigidity of the frame to efficiently transfer energy while making the frame comfortable on all types of surfaces," says Repete. "Disc brakes and thru axles provide great braking properties."
The Reason road model (the blue one in these pics) features disc brakes and clearance for tyres up to 700C x 28mm while the Verne gravel bike (the green one – although you could have used your deductive powers to work that out, right?) takes tyres up to 700C x 40mm or 650B x 47mm.
Both bikes are available in six sizes, the Reason coming in three different colours with the Verne available in two.
“The details are the character of our products, and that is why we focused on developing our own flat-mount dropouts, which are made utilising investment steel casting technology," says Repete co-founder, Robin Fišer.
"Thanks to the innovative internal cable routing, which we produced with state-of- the-art 3D printing, the frame is compatible with mechanical and electronic shifting.”
The Reason frameset is available for €2,800 with complete bikes starting at €4,500.
The Verne frameset is priced €2,500 with complete bikes from €4,200.

Sorry but this isn't correct. For starters, ask yourself what changes about the PTFE if you scratch it? Nothing.
😳
I like the uptick in blogs in 2025 - particularly this one. Keep them coming Road.cc!
Call me a traditionalist, but in my book you can only sponsor a cycling team if your business relates to agriculture, home improvements or coffee...
And, BTL in the comments: "This is a problem and so are cyclist's headlights. Why do they not have them dipped??"
What an odd article, just an advert for the law firm: is this the same 'Martin' who then campaigned for cyclists to wear helmets?
I understand that it's difficult to fully appreciate the quality of a product from online images. If you'd like a more thorough evaluation, I'd be...
I agree - I bet the guard doesn't get paid hugely so a gesture to show appreciation would probably go a long way....
Disappointing to hear that....
I would dream of my non-assisted bicycle to have such low weight. It is a bicycle to drool over but this Urtopia bicycle must utopic price.
