Taking pride of place on Shimano’s stand at Eurobike is Chris Froome’s very yellow Pinarello Dogma F10, signed by Fausto Pinarello with a black marker pen and still wearing the dust and dirt from the final celebratory stage of the Tour de France.
The Dogma F10, the latest version of the company’s flagship race bike, has a number of interesting details compared to the previous F8.
There are the shaped fork dropouts that are claimed to improve aerodynamics and is an idea borrowed from its Bolide time trial bike.
Then there’s the Shimano Di2 junction box concealed inside the down tube, which is a far neater solution to the usual method of strapping it to the bottom of the stem. We’re surprised it’s taken bike manufacturers this long to come up with a more elegant solution for packaging this essential component of an electronic groupset.
That’s not Froome’s regular Osymetric chainset by the way, which we’re guessing isn’t really appreciated by Shimano, the team’s sponsor, so they’ve whipped it off and replaced it with a stock Dura-Ace R9100 chainset.
There’s still the 3D printed anti chain dropping device stuck to the frame though, a backup measure to the K-Edge chain dropper.
K-Edge also supplied a custom yellow Garmin Edge mount that bolts to the underside of the one-piece Pro Vibe carbon handlebar that Chris Froome switched to at this year’s Tour de France, an unusual choice given the rest of the team have stuck with the regular aluminium stem and handlebar combination.
Mounting hardware to the aerodynamic handlebar is a bit trickier than a regular round handlebar, so the Team Sky mechanics have simply glued the satellite shifter buttons, minus the case to save weight, straight to the handlebar.
Shock horror, not a slammed stem.

Nice way to shirk responsibility for your mind-bogglingly stupid choice
Most cars that pass me are dangerous. I have submitted loads of video footage to the police and for what? Not even a reply.
The context was the increased number of reports of confirmed dangerous driving. What would decent drivers be getting reported to the police for?
Regarding the lock: I'll bet at least one frustrated theif will turn their grinder to the frame.
Phone cameras store the rotation of the device into the EXIF flags of photos and IIRC road.cc honours that flag. If you load the photo into a...

I know, that was my point, most manufacturers offer a choice with their highest end bikes of Dura Ace or SRAM Red and the majority of teams choose...
