Proviz Reflect360 - 6.jpgProviz launches Reflect360 reflective helmet
Proviz has announced the launch of its Reflect360 helmet that turns bright white when light is shone directly at it.
The Germany-made helmet uses what’s called the KStar reflective system with reflective particles embedded into the microshell covering. The reflective particles are protected by a clear outer casing.
The helmet has a pearl grey colour in daylight, but becomes brilliant white when caught in direct light from other road users.
The helmet features Proviz’s Quicksafe headring fit system with two independent LED flashing lights for additional visibility.
The Reflect360 Helmet is, of course, certified to European CE EN 1078 standards and it is priced at £79.99.

Lidl regularly stock a pretty decent commuting helmet with a rear LED light and anti-insect netting for about £12, which would leave you about £50 to spend on reflective tape.
It's a nice enough helmet, but seems expensive compared to similarly specc'ed helmets from other manufacturers.
Any chance of any photos of it without the visor?
Actually nice to see a helmet with no claims to be the most aerodynamic helmet in existance.

Whilst I absolutely applaud the idea, I'm puzzled as to why they appear to have concentrated the reflective area on top - great visibility to birds, aeroplanes and passing super heroes. Let's hope nobody crashes into me from the side or behind.
Seems to be visible from front, back and sides. You think they should leave the top bare? Like cyclists have halos?
That's quite a cool looking helmet and it has bee guards as well! Something bit me on the head on a ride this summer, I'm not sure if it was a bee sting or a horse fly bite, and it hurt for days
.
