This Saturday, 9 November, sees the second Morvélo CityCross take place at Piece Hall in Halifax, Yorkshire, and it looks to us like being a whole lot of fun.
The organisers say, “With cobbles, corridors, kerbs, grass, concrete, sand, and several manmade obstacles, it's taking CityCross back to its roots.”
As the name suggests, CityCross is like cyclocross but – and you might be ahead of us here – in the city. Hang on, though! Halifax is a town, isn’t it? If not, how do you explain the well known phrase “Halifax Town nil”? It’s still called CityCross, though.
